The Yagur Interchange constitutes a main transportation artery in Northern Israel, which concentrates heavy traffic – this for being the road intersection between roads 70, 75 and 752. Within the framework of the road network development program of the national roads company of Israel (National Transport Infrastructure Company Ltd), it was decided to upgrade the interchange and construct several bridges.
The soil type in the area and the proximity to the Kishon River may cause many damages to the engineering structures, including cracking and harm caused to the structure’s stability.
A complex engineering challenge was placed in front of the planners, to find an efficient solution while meeting tight schedules.
