Horizontal deployment of Neoweb® geocells placed on top of each other in an embankment structure, allows a rapid and effective establishment of retaining walls and embankments.
The external strip of Geocells is filled with sand or some other material (gravel stones; concrete etc.) thus allowing the integration of vegetation and blending into the local landscape. It also enables better drainage and passage of fertilizers. Each cell functions as a planter in itself, ensuring the preservation of the beds and a healthier growth of vegetation.

Advantages of using Geocell – Cellular Confinement System (Neoweb®) for retaining walls and embankments:

  • Durability: Neoweb® geocells ensure durability as well as long-term stability even under severe weather conditions and heavy loads. The apertures located in the Geocells allow a more efficient drainage and prevention of hydrostatic damages acting on the structure.
  • Economic saving: the ability to fill the Geocells with local and/or recycled materials precludes the need to use other expensive materials as well as transport costs and expensive earthworks.
